Crews are working to contain a wildfire burning in the Sierra de Santiago area of Nuevo Leon State as of March 30th. The fire started on March 14th and as of late March 29th has grown to approximately 1,200 hectares (2,965 acres) in size. The fire is approximately 40 percent contained and around 379 personnel are on site battling the blaze. Authorities have not provided an estimated containment date for the fire; hot and windy conditions may hamper firefighting efforts over the coming days. Additional wildfire growth is possible.
