Activist have assembled in the area of the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Honduras in Tegucigalpa to pressure permanent vacancies for interim teachers. Participants are burning debris in the area and have blocked Boulevard Juan Pablo II.

Security forces will almost certainly deploy to monitor the protest and secure the Presidential Palace. Transport disruptions are likely to continue in the vicinity of the protest. Isolated low-level skirmishes are possible.
