Members of the Polo Obero activist group and other social justice groups are protesting in numerous cities the morning of January 19th. Protesters disagree with the government employment policies, among other issues. Activist leaders said the protests would occur throughout the entire nation. So far, events have been reported in Buenos Aires and Neuquen. In Buenos Aires, protesters gathered at different locations in the city at 11:00 and began marching to the intersections of Av. 9 de Julio, Moreno, and Belgrano. The march routes are havent been disclosed by activist leaders. In Neuquen, protesters gathered at the Monument to San Martin at 08:30 and began marching through the city to the Ruta Nacional 22 highway; the exact route is unclear.

Security forces are likely to deploy to monitor proceedings. Traffic disruptions are likely near protest locations and march routes January 19th. Clashes between police and protesters are unlikely, though cannot be ruled out.
