A Bikaner Express passenger train derailed near Domohani, West Bengal, January 13th. The train was transporting passengers from Guwahati to Bikaner and derailed at approximately 17:00. Media outlets in the area reports indicate several carriages ran off the tracks. Three people were reportedly killed and several others injured. Government officials will provide updates on casualties once further investigations are conducted. Emergency personnel are conducting search and rescue operations at the scene.

Passenger and freight disruptions between Guwahati and Bikaner are likely; some alternative rail services may be available but could extend transport times. Authorities will likely heighten security near the derailment site and may close nearby roads.
